v Board of occupational health
Is a technical body on health and safety at work,
attached to the Ministry of labour and Social Security and that since its
creation by the law 6727 in 1982, has promoted the health of workers in all
workplaces of Costa Rica.
· Ministry of labour
The Ministry of labour and Social Security, has origin
in the enactment of Decree Law No. 33 of June of 1928, Secretary of labor,
whose main purpose was the creation of the labour code created. However, it was
during the administration of Dr. Rafael Angel Calderón Guardia, when
consolidated this idea, specifically the 15 September 1943, when it entered
into force the labour code, which formalized the existence of the Secretariat
of labour and Social Welfare.
v Ministry of health
The Ministry of health is a decentralized institution
articulated internally coherent in its response capacity, with a culture
characterized by the orientation to results and accountability, with officials
duly qualified, proactive and appropriate for their role. For his style of leadership,
its technical capacity and achieved improvements in the health status of the
population, it is an institution with high credibility nationally and
internationally, that the population perceives as the guarantor of their health
and social stakeholders and direct clients of the rectory feel as his ally.
v INS
31 January 1925 published law No. 53 on industrial
accidents and on August 20, 1926 opened the Department worker, today Department
of occupational hazards, responsible for administering this Act.
· Costa Rican Social Security
The CCSS provides comprehensive health services to the
individual, the family and the community and give the protection of economic,
social and pension, in accordance with the legislation in force and to the
Costa Rican population.
